A quick civics lessons for anyone new to city elections. Primaries are by district only(sorry D5 no primary for you) but once the primary ends the entire city will vote for each position in the general(you’re still important D5)…for example if you live in D1 you can vote in the primary between Hayes, Murphy, and Smith on Aug 31. After the primary one will drop and on Nov. 2 you go back to the ballot box and vote again for D1 as well as D2, D3, D4, D6.

Personally i think this method is dumb…but I personally am not a city resident so I guess its none of my business. Quick note…CITY ELECTION TURN OUT is EXCEPTIONALLY TERRIBLE…So your vote has REAL value.

Primary Aug 31

General Nov. 2
